Adobe Reader for Android hits 1 Million Downloads

Bangalore: Adobe has made its entry into the mobile phone market this year, both with the launch of Flash Player 10.1 for smartphones, as well as with the release of some new applications for mobile phone users, including Adobe Reader for Android. Two months ago, the solution reached 1 million downloads, the company announced recently.

"Today's post is dedicated to our Adobe Reader for Android users who have been instrumental in building some great momentum since we launched just two months ago. Just this week, Android reached the million download mark in the Android Market. Also in that time period, Adobe Reader has received an average of four stars from over 4,000 users who have rated it to date. eWeek recently picked Adobe Reader as one of the Top 10 Apps Motorola Droid X owners should acquire at launch," said Aman Deep Nagpal, Senior Product Manager, Acrobat Solutions.

According to Aman Deep Nagpal, Adobe has in store some more enhancements for the mobile application, in its attempt to enable as many Android users as possible to view PDF files on their handsets.

Those Android phone owners interested in the solution should find it available for download over at the Android Market. According to the development team, those who try it would offer feedback on the application, so that more improvements and enhancements are added into the mix.
